Executive Headteacher's Welcome

Dear Visitor,

Welcome to Castle Donington College.

We have every reason to be proud of our school. Castle Donington College is a wonderful, safe and special place. Our children are at the heart of everything we do. We are a dedicated and creative staff, who have the privilege of supporting our students to strive for excellence in all things. We are increasingly successful. Children feel safe and looked after, and they achieve well because they enjoy the time they spend here.

At Castle Donington College, we are concerned, primarily with people. The staff and Governors are committed to delivering the best possible experience for all of our students. We care passionately about the quality of education we provide. In January 2019, we received an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’.  Our friendly and professional staff have high expectations of themselves and for our students, they work closely to share best practice and drive improvement. We continue to strive for excellence.

All teachers at Castle Donington College are tutors.  We view the pastoral care and social development of students as an essential part of the role. We encourage strong values such as kindness, honesty, respect and commitment in all members of our community and aim to provide individual care, support and attention for each child to help them develop and thrive.

We offer a stimulating environment so that excellent teaching and learning can take place. We pride ourselves on providing an inspiring education where a passion for learning and success is the norm for both students and staff. We are committed to an ambitious curriculum and recognise its success as our students go on to achieve outstanding results at GCSE. We believe in providing all our students with wider opportunities for learning and developing beyond their work in the classroom by offering access for all to a wide range of extracurricular opportunities. Academic achievement, creativity and personal development are treated with equal importance so our students leave Castle Donington College as confident, resilient and respectful individuals.
