Student Opportunities

Here you will find links and adverts for Apprenticeships and job vacancies.

FPCR

We are looking to hire either a GCSE or A Level leaver in an IT Apprenticeship opportunity in our Lockington Hall head office.

If you have any students that would be interested in pursuing an IT career and step into an apprenticeship with options to progress to a level 4 apprenticeship and full-time role, we would love to hear from them. If you have any interested students, please feel free to pass on my contact details, either email or phone and I will be able to respond as soon as possible.

We are looking for people with a genuine interest in computing, maybe students who have built their own computers, supported family members with computer problems or even those who may do computer repair in their spare time. An IT Apprenticeship is a great opportunity, we have supported previous apprentices through this, and they are valued members of our team. I started into IT Apprenticeships 7 years ago and it has allowed me to progress into the role as head of IT at FPCR, the progression opportunities are there for the individuals wanting to continue learning whilst getting paid!

Medical Simulated Work Experience at University of Lincoln

Lincolnshire Training Hub is running a course, aimed at students who will be applying for medicine, to help them develop experience that will strengthen their application. We acknowledge that work experience has become increasingly hard to get, due to COVID and high prices held by other companies. Therefore, we started this event to help those in need.

It will be held on Saturday the 16th of July at the University of Lincoln Medical School.  It will include:

  • GP Scenarios
  • Emergency Scenarios
  • Ward Round

with simulated patients, and current medical students and staff to guide and teach you. The day will run between 9am and 4:30pm. It is completely free to students.

Application form is in the attachments below.

Leicester College Open Evening

There will be lots of opportunities for visitors to have a go at different practical activities, as well as some fun games with the chance to chat to members of our student union and other students.

As well as discovering about courses, visitors will be able to find out about apprenticeships and apply for current apprenticeship vacancies at the Apprenticeship and Get the Job Fair, at our Freemen’s Park Campus.
